New Jersey Residents: Mark Your Support for Princeton Battlefield

Eight days after the crossing of the Delaware in December 1776, George Washington changed the course of the Revolutionary War at the Battle of Princeton. As the 250th anniversary of this decisive battle approaches, the Trust alongside New Jersey State Parks, Forests & Historic Sites, has launched Washington’s Legacy project to transform Princeton Battlefield State Park.

The multi-year initiative is aimed at restoring the battlefield’s historic landscape and enhancing its educational and interpretive offerings. State Senator Andrew Zwicker has introduced Budget Resolutions No. 4143 and No. 4479 to fund the restoration and development of a visitor center. These resolutions will restore the battlefield’s historic landscapes and enhance visitor experiences with educational resources and new signage.

Please join us in supporting Washington’s Legacy by signing our petition for the inclusion of Resolution No. 4143 and Resolution No. 4479 in New Jersey’s FY2025 budget, helping preserve and share the rich history of Princeton.

Please sign the petition that demonstrates your support for this innovative project.
