Meeting place
Copper State Chapter, NSDAR is hosting a Park Day clean-up of the Goodyear Farms Historic Cemetery. Volunteers 10 years and up are invited to join us in our ongoing project to support the maintenance of this historical landmark.
The GFHC houses the men, women and children who worked and lived on Goodyear Farms from 1917 until it closed in the 1980s. Along with growing and harvesting the cotton used in Goodyear Tire Co. tires used on WWI airplanes, many of these men and women served in the US Military. These families were the backbone to the creation of the West Valley cities of Goodyear, Avondale, and Litchfield Park, and many of these families continue to live and work within these communities.
Please meet in the parking lot of Goodyear Farms Historic Cemetery at the check-in booth. Water and light refreshments/snacks will be provided to volunteers.
