Approximately 60 acres encompassing Civil War battlefield and location of the Battle for the Yadkin River Bridge fought in April 1864. Confederate troops defeated Union army under control of General George Stoneman in April 1865. Site was also location of skirmish between Patriot General Nathanael Greene and British General Charles Cornwallis during Revolutionary War.
