162nd Anniversary of the Battle of Stones River - Living History Event
Partner Event
December 28, 2024 @ 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM EST
Murfreesboro, TN 37129
Join us at the site where desperate fighting raged between the Nashville Pike and the Stones River during the afternoon of December 31, 1862. Two Confederate attacks in this area tried to break the Union Army of the Cumberland's line. Their failure secured the federal position defending the Nashville Pike and turned the Battle of Stones River toward becoming a critical U.S. victory that reshaped the course and consequences of the Civil War.
These programs will take place on property preserved by the American Battlefield Trust and interpreted by our partners in the Murfreesboro City Parks Department. Join us for the first major event on this site that used to be a factory. The property is located at 2150 NW Broadt Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. Access the site from Van Cleve Lane.
Programs will take place at 11 AM, 1 PM, 2 PM and 3 PM and include firing demonstrations by U.S. & Confederate Infantry and Union Artillery.
