Education Webinar: The Constitutional Convention and FREE Lesson Plans
Resource Spotlight
Have you wondered what it was like in the summer of 1787 as the “Grand Convention at Philadelphia” met to debate and draft the U.S. Constitution? Or what about the years when the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists tried to figure out how the nation’s new government would work? Would you like some new lesson plans or extra resources that focus on the U.S. Constitution, Washington’s Presidency, and primary sources to get closer to “the rooms where it happened” in a civics or social studies class?
You’re invited to join the American Battlefield Trust for a Resource Spotlight Webinar, unveiling some FREE, brand-new lesson plans highlighting key moments between 1783 and 1812 with an emphasis on the U.S. Constitution.
Sarah Kay Bierle from the American Battlefield Trust’s Education Department looks forward to unlocking the door during this virtual webinar! We’ll explore the summer of 1787 and who’s who at the “Grand Convention” that was secretly debating and drafting the U.S. Constitution, and we’ll unroll some brand-new resources and lesson plans.
Let’s find some resources you can take back to your classroom for discussion and “ratification.”
