"Remember the Ladies": Biography Accounts & New FREE Lesson Plans
American Battlefield Trust Event
March 20, 2025 @ 7:00 PM EDT

Almost 250 years ago, the American Revolution began and led to the independence of the United States from Great Britain. What was life like for women during those times of change? How did women influence the Revolution? And what did they gain or lose during the eight years of the Revolutionary War? Abigail Adams wrote the phrase “Remember the ladies,” pointing out the political and social challenges that women faced while also hoping for change in the new nation.

You’re invited to join the American Battlefield Trust for a Resource Spotlight Webinar, unveiling some FREE, brand-new lesson plans highlighting the lives and experiences of women during the American Revolution.

Sarah Kay Bierle from the American Battlefield Trust’s Education Department is anticipating sharing about the lives of three of her favorite “heroines” from the Revolutionary War era. Then, we’ll take a closer look at the lesson plans and brand-new resources that are classroom-ready for Women’s History Month or additions to Revolutionary War studies.

Let’s explore some biographies, lesson plans and new resources you can take back to your classroom to inspire your students.
