Interpretive Walk of Civil War History from Fort Stevens to Battleground National Cemetery

Join NPS Ranger Bryan Cheeseboro as he leads an interpretive talk from Fort Stevens to Battleground National Cemetery in Washington, DC.  The event begins with a history of the Battle of Fort Stevens, from the time army reinforcements arrive on the field to push back the enemy line.  

Each participant will receive a sealed envelope with the story of a soldier who fought in the battle.  Once the tour arrives at Battleground Cemetery, participants may open their envelopes to find out the fate of their soldier. 

Group meets at the flagpole oat Fort Stevens.
