A complementary site to the National Museum of Civil War Medicine's main location, this museum focuses on field medicine as it was practiced at the Battle of Antietam. Located in the historic Philip Pry House, the exhibits include a re-creation of an operating theater, interpretive panels and objects relating to the care of wounded and the effects on the civilian population in the area, and information on the history of the Pry House. The barn and grounds are available for educational programs and special events.
