Big Black River Bridge Battlefield

Remains of the wartime railroad bridge piers below a modern railroad bridge are visible reminders of the Battle at the Big Black River Bridge. Warriors Trail, 2 miles east of Bovina, Mississippi follows the river bank at the site today. A historical marker is on Old U.S. Route 80 one mile east of the bridge. The battlefield land remains under private ownership.
