Brier Creek Battlefield

On land that is now a part of the Tuckahoe Wildlife Management Area, the Battle of Brier Creek took place on March 3, 1779, near the intersection of Brier Creek and the Savannah River in eastern Georgia. For visitors, there is a historical marker about the battle near the junction of Brannens Bridge Rd and Brier Creek, and there are plans in place to make a permanent Battle of Brier Creek Memorial in the future.
