Dranesville Battlefield
Overcome by suburban development, the Dranesville battlefield was near the present day intersection of the Georgetown Pike and Leesburg Pike in Herndon. A historic marker there describes the battle. Dranesville Tavern, present during the battle, has been restored to its 1850's appearance and is about 1 mile further west.
