Middleburg Battlefield
Many buildings in Middleburg were used as hospitals during battles in the area and can still be seen today. Historical markers on Madison Street and the Plains Road will help you to understand the military history of the town. The War Horse Memorial is near the entrance to the National Sporting Library and Museum. Middleburg is the center of the John Singleton Mosby Heritage Area, and an interpretive center at the Rector House 4 miles west of town tells the story of Mosby's Rangers.
Preservation
The American Battlefield Trust and our members have saved more than 5 acres at Middleburg Battlefield.
