Milliken's Bend Battlefield
The Milliken's Bend battlefield site, 15 miles northwest of Vicksburg on the west bank the Mississippi River, has been washed away by flooding and movement of the river. A historical marker is on Thomastown Road 5 miles northeast of Richmond. Interpretive exhibits and information about the battle can be found at the Vicksburg National Battlefield Visitor's Center.
Preservation
The American Battlefield Trust and our members would like to save land at Milliken's Bend Battlefield.
