Pell's Point
Now on land that is incorporated into Pelham Bay Park in the northeast corner of New York City, the Battle of Pell’s Point was a skirmish between Patriot and British forces during the New York Campaign in October 1776. Commemorating the battle is a bronze plaque on Glover’s Rock, which was erroneously believed to have been where Colonel John Glover watched the British forces during the battle.
