Clark Park is the largest park in West Philadelphia, operated by the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Philadelphia. It was the site of Satterlee Hospital, which treated over 120,000 sick and wounded soldiers during the Civil War. A monument commemorating Satterlee Hospital was erected in 1916 using a large stone from the Gettysburg Battlefield.
